Was doing some drawing excercises with my friend :iconkayinkspot:

I ended up going over the agreed time.
1.5hr
I have to admit I don't really like speed painting. But the only way I'm going to get better and faster is to push myself. So I'm going to try doing this more often.

awww.. it's just practice. Actually that was my first time trying it. Last summer I made a effort to do more videos to help improve and watch myself to get better. I wasn't trying to show off or anything. Just want a record mostly to see how I was doing by practicing more and timing myself.
but I glad you enjoyed/hated watch it??? :P

Learning where to stop was the most important thing I learn being a student. But I don't know if I learnt it well :p

The Kid Of Drawing:

''Well,I don't like too speed drawing, well, you don't have so much time to think on how much things you can made on here, but I think you made it fine.Is like a 3-d dimensional Graphite, like I said on youtube with my Shidow3 channel.Looks too like a kinda cartoon, for the presentation on the colors. It was very helpful I think to help you to challenge yourself on how much time you are taking a drawing.I understand more your way to made drawings,is very futuristic and adventure, really fun,I like that too.Like I said,a big and high homerun!Nice touch of shadows at the end of the drawing.Sweet!''

hey thanks.. well these are just excercises to help me get better. I mostly paint slow, by doing these these speed paints I'm hoping it will allow me to experiment more and not second guess myself.

that was really something, and only in 1.5 hours. Just a suggestion, maybe you could have a small part of the dragon slightly overlap the floating land at the back. Coz the it's a bit disturbing with the amount of detail put onto both the main focus point and the sub focus. just a suggestion, i'm no expert :)

It's a great suggestion.. actually the scale all over the place... is incorrect. From this picture its difficult what is bigger. If I had planned this better. I would have figured out the scale in relation each other too. Oh well
I'm going to be doing a lot more of these speed paints. Hopefully it will make me better and think better on my feet.
