@03:40hey man if it works it works... Cut tecnique I still use now and then... robots are perfect for that!
well for me its been all through experimenting. I've tried different ways this year. but I'm finding I'm getting the best results with the least amount of time.
but explore! acutally these videos have helped me get quicker at painting.
yeah I'm all for finding your own style! be unique and find whats comfortable for you.
well to be honest only this year I think I have found the style/technique I feel most comfortable with.
I can't say I've used gimp. I do really like Photoshop. I've tried painter, but I find I miss the editing power that photoshop has. But do whats most comfortable for you(if it works, then it doesn't matter what program or technique you use!)
@03:36well by the video record time.. it came about 1 hr and 20 mins. But this also me hitting pause sometimes to think about it... getting coffee... surfing and emailing. I think 3 hrs real time with that in mind.
Franchesco last month talked to me about doing a collab(to colour his fantastic line work) All I can tell you I was felt so honoured and freaked out about it (well I love Franchesco's art.. so I was nervous as heck).
But last month I was swamped with work and wasn't able to touch it until yesterday.
Just a little back story. I first layed eyes on Franchesco's art on She-Dragon special by Image comics. I think this might have been in 06 or 05. After buying the comic, I jumped on my computer to find out who this guy was cause I wanted to see more of this fantastic work! I found nothing... until 09, I had found him on DA.
After finding him and more of his work... I also found out how cool he is after sending a couple of message and notes.
But I'd like to Thank Franchesco for asking me to colour his work... It was a thrill!
all goes well my friend... thought that I had, but I was stunned that I had not even commented on it. I was going through some seriously ruff stuff in my personal life at the time... and stuff like this totally makes my day... thanks buddy!!
btw: What was I thinking drawing all those leaves, and apples, and all that jazz... crazyness I tells ya!! Pure lunacy!!
oh yes I remember you telling me about that.. how are things now? you seem better man I know so many apples!!!!!!!!!! but it was deffinitely my favorite piece of your to colour! thanks again for letting me
@09:04Franchesco did the beautiful line work.. I'm just the colour monkey. But thanks for the support. Hopeyou swing by his DA account. hes got amazing stuff there.
